  the view was spectacular

  the duvet was too hot but just a sheet was too cool - perhaps a spare blanket? also the people outside were a bit noisy

  It was inexpensive, the bed and pillows are very comfortable, and the breakfast at wildfire was great!

  Our room was freezing when we got there, but it was fine after we adjusted the thermostat.

  Very helpful staff. Hotel is a little old. Needs upgrading. Last hotel on Banff Avenue. Quite a walk to downtown shopping. Need a car here.

  Had lots of amenities. The food was great! Big rooms. Good prices.

  On my first day there were people drinking beer at the hot pool. and I mean lots of beer!!! I was with my kids and had to leave, it was unconfortable to be there

  Very helpful and friendly staff throughout the hotel particularly in the Pub, the open air hot pool was very welcome at the end of the day, the internet access was reliable and the room comfortable

  There is no attractive lounge area (with a mountain view) for non-skiers in the day time. The facilities in the room are basic and would benefit from adding a microwave and basic utensils for those who do not wish to take breakfast every day.

  You have "Dog friendly" accommodations. Original room had an exellent "mountain view".

  Rain storm. Hotel lost power (apparently, 2nd time in a week). Room was "raining" due to major structural crack along ceiling. Felt bad for Staff. Eventually moved to 'inferior' room (no screen on balcony door), - No Attn to Detail & No AC.

  We love the hot pool.

  Even though we are just a couple, we have always been given a room with 2 queen beds in it. I'd rather pay less for a room with only one bed which is all we need. However, it was the same price? When I told the staff that I didn't need 2 beds (which the reservation didn't mention), they moved me into a room with 1 bed, however it was extremely small, with no deck and no fridge. In the end, we moved back to the room with 2 beds for the extra space.

  The property we durty and if I had known the contition of the hotel I would not have stayed at any price. It is one thing to have an older facility but being durty is never an option.

  We were offered an upgrade to a king suite, with a better view for $10/night. That was a great bargain.The view of the mountains from our many 5th floor windows was phenomenal (facing streetside, not mountainside). The bed was incredibly comfortable. Our suite was equipped with a small refrigerator and a cozy sitting area adjacent to access to our private patio which ran the length of the room.

  Elevator access was somewhat inconvenient (but was present).

  Super view across the valley at mountains surrounding Banff. Suite is nicely laid out with accent lights on dimmer. Large balcony. We originally booked a cheaper room but took upgrade offer to this excellent room for $15 more.

  No air conditioning. Hot pool only open until 10 pm.
